ASUS ZenWatch 3 gets Android Wear 2.0 update
A few days ago, ASUS announced the release of Android Wear 2.0 for its ZenWatch 3 and ZenWatch 2 users across the world in July. The update has already started rolling out to ZenWatch 3 users and is adding more features to the Android wear device.
Android Wear 2.0 promises to be an incremental update for all Android-based smartwatch users. The second version of the smartwatch OS brings support for Android Pay, Google Assistant, a standalone PlayStore, the ability to make custom watch faces and more.
Users, who have already downloaded the latest update, are reporting an incremental improvement in the battery life. The smartwatch can now reportedly exceed a day’s usage. The update also removes some of the additional apps that came preloaded with the ASUS ZenWatch 3 as an effort to clean up unnecessary stuff and make it faster.
The ZenWatch 2 is also supposed to get the Android Wear 2.0 update sometime in August. It is good to see that ASUS has stayed true to its promise of delivering the latest software for its premium devices.
