Huawei is all set to unveil its new smartphone today at 6.30pm in Munich, Germany, but an early look to the device’s camera capability appears to have slipped out ahead of the launch.
A Chinese technology website has leaked the images of photos taken by the Mate 9 handset. The smartphone is rumoured to sport Leica branded dual camera setup, which will include a 20MP and a 12MP rear camera.
To recall, the smartphone will feature a 5.88-inch display with full HD resolution, while the Mate 9 Pro will sport a 5.50-inch AMOLED curved display. Both the devices are expected to run on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box with Huawei’s EMUI skin atop it.
The smartphone will also run on the HiSilicon Kirin 960 chipset and an octa-core processor that comprises of 4 Cortex A73 cores clocked at 2.4GHz and 4 Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.8GHz. In terms of graphics, users can expect ARM’s Mali G71 MP8 GPU.
The device will be available in 4GB RAM/G4GB ROM and 6GB RAM/256 ROM storage variants. The phone is also expected to come equipped with a finger-print scanner at the back.
