Rumour Update: Apple to make iPhone 7 waterproof
At this point, with so many rumours floating about Apple’s iPhone 7, another rumour has surfaced. This time the rumour suggests that the iPhone 7 will be waterproof.
Reports on media websites have pointed out that Apple has recently been granted a patent, dropping hints that the iPhone 7 could feature some kind of waterproofing technology. However, the reports don’t specify whether the technology would be implemented on the upcoming iPhone 7 or iPhone 8 or other future products.
Granted by the US Patent and Trademark Office, the patent has been dubbed as a ‘liquid resistance acoustic device’, a water-resistant speaker port that was first introduced in the Apple watch.
Additionally, an earlier report from Mobipicker claims that Apple’s next flagship iPhone 7 may feature its rear-camera with a 21MP sensor. The device is also rumoured to sport a dual-camera, wireless charger, USB Type-C and more.

Earlier too there were claims made about the iPhone 5 sporting water-resistance, but it never came to light. This time too Apple fans should take the news with a grain of salt.
The iPhone7 is expected to be announced in September.
