Windows 10 Mobile to get new Photos app
We have been hearing about the demise of the Windows Mobile platform for a while and Microsoft’s ignorance towards it at this year’s Developer Conference enhanced the doubts. Well, there seems to be good news for the fans as a report from Aggiornamenti Lumia suggests that Microsoft is working silently to give a major overhaul to the Windows Mobile platform.
The leak shows a completely overhauled Photos app for the Windows 10 Mobile devices. The updated version will provide more photo editing options to the users like adjusting warmth and tint or let the software do the adjustment for you on its own. The app also gets a completely redesigned interface which not makes it more appealing to the eyes but also confirms the presence of CShell on the Mobile platform.

What this means is that the Redmond tech giant is working on the rumoured Surface Phone with an interface of its Windows 10 Mobile platform that looks more akin to the version of Windows 10 running on PCs. This also brings a hope to the existing users of Microsoft’s last flagship smartphone users – the Lumia 950 and 950XL, some hope that their handsets will be supported alongside Microsoft’s new Surface Phone.
