Xiaomi Mi A1 receives permanent price cut
Xiaomi has announced a price cut of Rs 1000 on its Mi A1 for the Indian market. The smartphone, originally launched in September, will now be available permanently at a price of Rs 13,999 (down from Rs 14,999). The smartphone is available on Mi e-store and also on Flipkart.
Xiaomi India took to Twitter to make the announcement on December 10. Xiaomi Vice President and Xiaomi India's Managing Director Manu Kumar Jain also confirmed the new development, tweeting, "Great news Mi Fans: announcing a permanent price drop of Rs 1,000 on Mi A1."
On purchasing the Xiaomi Mi A1, users will get an additional five per cent discount using Axis Bank Buzz credit card. Flipkart is also offering no-cost EMI options to purchase the smartphone with the monthly instalment of Rs 1,556. Additionally, there is also a buyback guarantee at Rs 99. On purchasing from Mi.com, consumers will get up to 200GB of additional Airtel 4G data with the handset and MobiKwik SuperCash up to Rs 3,000.
As for specifications, the Xiaomi Mi A1 sports a 5.5-inch full HD display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset, clubbed with 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage, which is expandable up to 128GB.
On the photography front, there is a dual camera setup with two 12MP image sensors — one with a wide-angle, f/2.2 aperture lens and the other one with a f/2.6 aperture telephoto lens. The front camera sports a 5MP sensor with a real-time beautification mode. The connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, USB Type-C, GPS/ A-GPS, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The smartphone draws its power from 3080mAh battery.
