Affordable Nokia 2 to feature a massive a 4000mAh battery
HMD Global’s Nokia is doing extremely well in the Indian market with its three smartphones on offer. The Nokia 3 is already finding buyers with its affordable price tag and a good build despite average specifications. However, it seems that Nokia isn’t done yet for this year as leaks have suggested a Nokia 2 budget smartphone. And it is bound to strike the budget segment with a feature that matters the most in India.
Popular tipster Roland Quandt has leaked out FCC certifications of the most affordable modern Nokia smartphone and the list shows a massive 4000mAh battery under the hood. This is one of the biggest battery capacities on modern Nokia’s smartphone lineup and should give the humble Nokia 2 a chance to stand against the like of Xiaomi’s Redmi 4 and Moto’s E4 as the Nokia 2 is tipped to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 chipset along with 1GB RAM.
Judging by the leaks, the Nokia 2 isn’t supposed to be a phone for absolute performance. However, a completely stock Android interface should let it fare well in real-world conditions like its big brothers. HMD Global could be aiming to make the Nokia 2 the Nokia 3310 of smartphones — basic smartphone functions that don't require frequent charging.
