No registration requires, Xiaomi has open sales for Redmi Note 3, Mi 5 on April 27

This comes in as good news for many fans out there that have been waiting to get their own Xiaomi smartphone, especially the mid-ranger Redmi Note 3 and the high-end Mi 5. The company has announced that the sale that will take place on April 27 will be an open sale and one does not need to register to purchase a handset. The sale will commence on April 27 at 2PM.

However, though Xiaomi has announced that there will be a significant amount of handsets in stock so that they don’t fall short, the open sale will still behave similar to previous flash sales that will probably end with a blink of the eye. However, it will purely depend on how many handsets are on sale, how many customers are waiting for the device and how many will be shopping at the very moment.

The sale will see the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 with both 2GB+16GB and 3GB+32GB variants as well as the Mi 5 32GB version.

Starting at Rs 9,999, Redmi Note 3 is beautifully constructed with a metal body and comes packed with a huge 4050mAh battery that can last a full day on a single charge. Powered by Snapdragon 650 processor, ARM’s top-end Cortex-A72 performance cores, Redmi Note 3 is exceptionally fast with an Antutu score of over 77,000. It features the latest Qualcomm Adreno 510 GPU, which provides impressive graphics performance for an unparalleled gaming and multi-tasking experience.

Redmi Note 3 weighs just 164g and measures only 8.65mm at its thickest point, despite the massive battery. The device also supports 5V/2A Qualcomm Quick Charge technology, charging up to 50 per cent in one hour and taking only three hours for a full charge. The fingerprint sensor on Redmi Note 3 uses capacitive scanning technology for accurate, secure and fast performance, unlocking the device in just 0.3 seconds. There are a number of useful fingerprint sensor features incorporated into MIUI 7, including the ability to lock apps, access hidden folders, and even take a front or rear camera selfie using just your fingerprint.

Xiaomi Mi 5

The Xiaomi Mi 5 is the flagship smartphone for 2016 and comes in three flavours. While the 32GB 3GB RAM version is the only one in India, China enjoys the 64GB version too. While the Mi 5 128GB 4GB RAM version has been announced, it is yet to be released in China, and probably the rest of the world. The Indian variant Xiaomi Mi 5 sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset and an Adreno 530 GPU. As mentioned earlier, RAM and storage variant includes 3GB with 32GB. It features a 5.15-inch IPS LCD display sporting a full HD 1920x1080 resolution.

The display as well as the rear panel is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. The cameras on the Mi 5 are equipped with a 16MP sensor on the rear and a 4MP on the front. The rear camera is also equipped with an active optical image stabilizer for better, shake-free photos and videos. The VoLTE dual SIM Mi 5 (Hybrid) supports Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth v4.2 (LE), GLONASS, A-GPS, BDS, NFC, IR and a USB Type-C port on the connectivity front. Lastly, the Mi 5 is also equipped with capacitive fingerprint biometrics security, fuelled by a 3000mAh battery and powered by Android Marshmallow 6.x with Xiaomi’s own UI, MIUI. All that said, the entire hardware is packaged within a 129g body which is 7.3mm thick.
