HMD Global to launch Nokia 8 on August 16
Nokia’s marketing partner HMD Global is scheduled to launch its next flagship device, the Nokia 8, on August 16 at an event in London, reported The Verge.
According to the report, the handset will come equipped with Carl Zeiss Optics on the camera lens. In terms of specification, the Nokia 8 is rumoured to feature a 5.3-inch Quad HD screen, powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage option with microSD support. The phone is also known to sport a dual-camera setup featuring two 13MP sensors, along with laser autofocus sensor and dual-tone LED flash. Similar to previously launched Nokia models by HMD Global, Nokia 8 will also operate on Android Nougat OS. The device is expected to release in copper gold, blue and silver colour variants.
Although, the cost of the smartphone is yet to be officially announced, a Scandinavian retailer had claimed it will cost €589 (approximately Rs 43,415). However, the price tag is expected to be lower in other countries.
