Moto E5, E5 Plus leaked, spotted on FCC
Lenovo-led Motorola has been busy bringing a new version of their premium Moto X4 to the Indian market but rumours of the smartphone giant working on a new version of their Moto E series is in the air. Expected to be called the Moto E5 and E5 Plus, the devices have been noticed doing rounds of the FCC, with one of them sporting a 4000mAh battery.
Spotted by Android Headlines, the FCC documentation shows two Motorola handsets with the names XT1922-4 and XT1922-5. While most of the information on the document doesn’t reveal any major feature, the mention of a 4000mAh battery on the XT1922-4 suggests that Motorola may be pushing for a bigger 4000mAh battery, positioning the E series as an endurance champ. Nothing else has been revealed as of now.
Prior to this, MySmartPrice revealed a photo of a Motorola smartphone that was claimed to be the alleged Moto E5. Another video shows a 3D render of the E5 sporting a premium metal body and a 16:9 display. If the Motorola is actually working on these new E smartphones, then we can expect them to launch with Android Oreo 8.0 onboard along with at least 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. If launched, it might pose challenge for the popular Redmi 4 and one of the entry-level Samsung J series smartphones.
