- The couple has two children, daughter Diya born on August 10, 2007, and son Dev, born on June 7, 2010.
- Jyothika and Suriya have acted together in movies like 'Poovellam Kettuppar', 'Uyirile Kalanthathu', 'Kaakha Kaakha', 'Perazhagan', 'Maayavi', 'June R' and 'Sillunu Oru Kaadhal'.
- Jyothika married co-star and longtime boyfriend Suriya on September 11, 2006. The happily married couple still go on lunch dates!
- The Arjun-starrer 'Manikanda' was Jyothika's last movie. She was later seen in 'Herova? Zerova?', a documentary produced by her husband Suriya.
- In 2007, she bagged another state award for Best Actress for her performance in the superhit 'Mozhi'. The movie also starred Prithviraj, Prakash Raj and Swarnamalya.
