More financial help for blast victim
Bengaluru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has promised to provide medical assistance to a victim who was injured in the Malleshwaram bomb blast on April 17 this year.
N.S. Lisha, who sustained severe leg injuries in the blast had come to the Chief Minister’s Janata Darshan on Tuesday with the help of her parents seeking funds to meet her medical expenses.
Lisha, who is doing her Bachelor in Computer Applications (BCA) has to undergo another major surgery. Doctors at MS Ramaiah Hospital have told her to go for a bone implant surgery on her leg, but for this, she needs Rs 3 lakh.
After receiving her application, the Chief Minister directed H. Bhimsen Rao Shinde, in-charge of the Janata Darshan to put up the file for release of funds for her treatment.
The government has already released Rs 2 lakh for her treatment. This time, the government has promised to release the additional amount sought by her.
Lisha’s father Doreswamy Raj said that he has to spend Rs 500 to 800 for her daily expenses including taking her to college in an autorickshaw.
Lisha has already undergone three major surgeries on her leg. Doctors have told her to go for another major surgery in December. Nearly 18 people were injured and 23 vehicles damaged in the Malleshwaram blast near the BJP office.
