Global flights to operate from new building at the Che­nnai airport

Chennai: The entire international fli­ght departures at the Che­nnai airport will start functioning from the new international building. The shifting of international flight departures from old terminal building to the new international building has been completed in a phased manner.

A press release from the Airports Authority of India (AAI) on Friday read that the international departures will take place from the new international terminal building only except international arrival which will continue at old international arrival for another one or two months.

All passenger amenities and facilities for smooth flight operation from this new terminal building have been provided by AAI as per international standard, the release added.

Now, all departing passengers have to take the route towards the ramp of new do­m­estic terminal. For reaching that ramp, vehicles have to turn towards right side at the en­trance point of airport.
