Now get set for a 9D theatre in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: The city is set to get its first 9D theatre which will screen animated movies on environment, aquatic life and lake concept films.
Apart from enhanced visuals, the 9D experience will include added environmental affects like rain, fire, air, aroma, snow etc. which 4D theatre can’t offer.
The theatre, which will seat more than 25 people, will be set up at the laser complex inside Lumbini Amusement Park, making Hyderabad the second city after Bengaluru to have a 9D theatre.
This is being developed by Buddha Purnima Project Wing (BPP) of HMDA R.P Khujaria, member of BPP said, “9D is the latest technology with enhanced visual effects.
The 9D theatre will come alive with a big projector and with added environments influence that will screen animated movies, mainly on environmental issues. If the scene shows strong breeze or rain, the spectators will experience the same, including snow and smell.”
The BPP wing has invited private parties to set up the 9D theatre and will finalise it by November end.
Laser comlex to get facelift
Hyderabad: The laser complex inside the Lumbini Park, lying idle since 2005, will get a facelift with several entertainment zones in the pipeline.
The two-storey complex will now house special gaming zones, kids fun area and a special private party section. The BPP wing of HMDA, does not have a clue regarding a two-storey iron structure that had been set up in Lumbini Park against the SC’s orders at great cost.
A 2005 SC directive had stalled all construction activity in and around Hussainsagar.
R.P. Khujaria, member of BPP said, “The structure was constructed much before the SC directions. The project was stopped halfway and has not been removed. However, after setting up the activities at the laser complex, the BBP plans to make use of this structure.”
Meanwhile, the GHMC’s plaque in Indira Park, stating that saplings would be planted in memory of the Gokul Chat and Lumbini Park blast victims is lying unattended for five years and nothing has been planted.
