Advocate Janardhan Goud had last month filed a petition in a court here accusing Reddy of making provocative statements on proposed bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh and sought for direction from the court to the Saroornagar police to investigate the matter and for registration of an FIR.

Following the directions from the court, an FIR was registered and the matter was investigated into. However, no evidence was found into the allegations of the petitioner and hence a final report is being filed before the court, the police officer explained.

Bifurcation: Kiran to meet GoM in Delhi on Monday

Kiran Kumar Reddy would be holding a crucial meeting with the Group of Ministers (GoM) on the issue of the state's division in Delhi on Monday.

Reddy has said that he would try to persuade the Centre to keep the state united.

"I am committed to the cause of unified Andhra Pradesh and believe that the state would develop in a big way only if it remains undivided. The division would give rise to many problems. Many issues, which may arise due to it, cannot be solved easily. Therefore, I would explain the need for a unified state to the GoM," he had said on Saturday.

He also said he was not worried about keeping his post.
