Kiran Kumar Reddy's tour is huge success
Vijayawada: Contrary to the general perception that the people have distanced themselves from the Congress after the Centre’s bifurcation decision, the Chief Minister’s tour of Jaggaiahpeta on Saturday was a resounding success.
Though the party’s three-time legislator Samineni Udaya Bhanu joined the YSR Congress, the new in-charge P. Venkata Rao managed to mobilise a sizable crowd for the CM’s public meeting.?
The party’s local leadership was asked to go to each village and request the people to support the CM’s meeting, saying that it was akin to supporting Samaikyandhra.
Interestingly, several people like Jaya Raju, a YSRC leader from Muchintala village, who attended the meeting are opponents of the Congress.
Jaya Raju said that he attended the meeting as he supports the CM’s fight for Samaikyandhra.
P. Govind, a farmer from Vatsavai, said he would continue in the Congress even if state was divided.
Without exception, the Congress leaders present at the meeting praised the CM and his efforts to keep the state united.
Many times, the venue echoed with slogans in support of Samaikyandhra and favour of the CM.
