Teso for Sri Lanka resolution In parliament

DMK-led Teso vows to adopt resolution in support of British PM Cameron's demand.
Chennai: The DMK-led Teso on Sunday lauded British Prime Minister David Cameron for his tough message to Sri Lanka and urged the Centre to pass a resolution in the upcoming Parliament session pressing for an international probe into the war crimes committed in the island nation.
In its meeting chaired by Karunanidhi, Teso adopted resolutions supporting Cameron's demand that Sri Lanka complete investigation into the alleged war crimes and human rights violations by March 2014. Condemning Centre for participating in CHOGM, disregarding Tamils' demand for complete boycott, TESO termed the Salman Khurshid-led delegation's attendance as “rubbing salt in to the wounds (of Tamils).”
Heaping praises on Cameron, TESO said the Centre could not justify the participation of Salman Khurshid on any ground. Instead of bringing the Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa under censure for human rights violation, CHOGM forum seemed to have gone all out to protect the island head, a resolution contended.
TESO also reiterated the demand for the 13th Constitutional amendment to ensure devolution of powers to Northern and Eastern provinces, where ethnic Tamils are in majority.
