Imran Khan’s happy to share credit
In an industry peopled with fragile egos, Imran Khan seems to be among the few actors who feel truly secure. Imran, who’s proved his caliber with 'Delhi Belly' and 'Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai Dobara', isn’t bogged down by failure or by the prospect of being overshadowed by his co-stars.
Imran says he has no qualms about his leading ladies having stronger roles in his films. “I’ve always disagreed with the general belief that the film industry is male dominated. I have no issues if my co-stars — be it Kareena Kapoor or Sonakshi Sinha — get higher billing in a film. I’d never ask for changes in the original script of a film to suit my convenience,” he told us.
The actor admits that Kareena is a bigger star than him and he looks up to her. “Yes, she is a bigger star than me and that’s the truth. If my films work because of my co-star, I’d only be happy to give the credit to her,” he says. While his uncle Aamir Khan has always been adamant on not letting the focus shift to his co-stars, it seems Imran got an entirely different approach.
