Vidyullekha Raman’s Pongal delight
Actor Vidyullekha Raman has signed her next Tamil project, 'Panju Mittai', in which she teams up with yesteryear actor and director Pandiarajan. She dons the role of an assistant to Pandiarajan, who will play a doctor. “It’s a cute role and both of us will manage the comedy element of the film,” says Vidyu. The film is directed by debutante Mohan, who has made a popular short film called Colours, which is now being made into a full length feature, 'Panju Mittai'. Popular RJ and VJ Ma. Ka. Pa. Anand is the protagonist, while Sentrayan of Moodar Koodam fame will also be seen in an integral role. “It’s indeed a great experience to act with Pandiarajan sir. And the film is slated for an April release,” says Vidyu.
Vidyullekha is presently busy being a part of 'Malini 22 Palayamkottai', Vijay’s 'Jilla' and Ajith’s 'Veeram'. She reveals that 'Malini 22 Palayamkottai' will hit the theatres by mid-December, while the biggies’ films 'Jilla' and 'Veeram' will be released around Pongal. “I’m really excited for having got an opportunity to act in Ajith sir and Vijay sir’s films. The shoot for Veeram was completed yesterday and I got to meet Ajith sir and Tammannah. As always, Ajith sir spoke with me for a while and advised me saying, ‘Don’t get too busy with many projects and don’t get stressed out. It’s not worth it. You must take care of yourself.’ I really felt good to hear such words of wisdom from a great star like him,” says Vidyu.
