76.45 pc voter turnout recorded during phase II of polls; highest ever turnout in the state.
Raipur: A record 76.45 pc voters in 72 constituencies across 19 districts of Chhattisgarh exercised their franchise during phase II of Chhattisgarh polls, the Election Commission announced today.
This is the highest voter turnout ever recorded in the state.
Nearly 55 pc had exercised their franchise when the poll panel released figures at 3 PM.
A man was killed and another injured in an alleged accidental firing by a CRPF personnel. Polling was generally peaceful otherwise.
