ToC H bags ISA?award
Kochi: Toc H Public School, Cochin, has been accredited with the British Council International School Award (ISA) for the second time.
The ISA Award for 2013-2016 was presented to Toc H at the British Council Connecting Classroom School Award ceremony held at ITC Sonar Hotel, Kolkata, on November 16.
Laila Kuruvilla, the teacher in charge of British Council Activities of Toc H, received the award from Rob Lynes, Director, British Council.
During the academic year 2012-13, Toc H school implemented nine diverse projects of international relevance including studies on air pollution, strengthening relationships, a study of global festivals, tackling the AIDS epidemic and the role of UN.
The activities also included comparative studies of the postal systems of India and the UK, and an exploration of France.
The ISA has been instrumental in Toc H students becoming ambassadors of Indian culture and education; and in preparing them to live and work in a global economy.
