Kochi: In a tragic incident, a four-year-old girl fell to her death from the ninth floor balcony of an apartment in Kochi on Thursday.
The deceased is Daya, youngest daughter of Abdul Karim- Jasmine couple, who reside at an apartment complex near Kadavanthra.
The incident took place around 7.30 in the morning when her mother went out to take their elder daughter to the school.
Police said the girl walked out of the bedroom after her mother left. The kid then proceeded to the terrace and fell off the fence to the ground.
The child suffered severe head injuries in the fall and had virtually no neurological responses on arrival at the hospital. The body was handed over to her parents after post- mortem.
