At your doorstep
Buying a dream home is one thing and maintaining it is another. A lot of help from electricians, plumbers, carpenters and gardeners etc. goes into shaping your dream. Unfortunately this help is hardly at hand when you need it the most, especially if you are new to the area.
Three 24-year-old friends, Harmeet S. Kawatra, Apoorv Joshi and Gireesh Parashar, have just fixed your problems with a solution that is a click away.

Three 24-year-old friends, Harmeet S. Kawatra, Apoorv Joshi and Gireesh Parashar, have just fixed your problems with a solution that is a click away.
Last month, they launched the beta-version of their mobile app, Servesy. The app lets you book “appointments" with electricians, plumbers, security guards and people who will clean your house as well as take care of your gardens. By the year-end, services of carpenters, painters and baby-sitters will also be rolled out.
Talking about how the app, which has served 50 customers so far, especially techies in Gachibowli, works, Harmeet says. “Enter the service you want, at what time and which location. And the serviceman will reach your doorstep at the time specified. Generally, they reach 10 minutes early."
“We respect the privacy of our customers. We don't ask them to share their contact number like the local search engines. For any area, we have enlisted only top five services. So, as and when a request is placed, the most suitable of the lot visits the customer," adds Harmeet, who hit upon the idea this June when his “AC went for a toss".
So, how do they identify the top five service providers? These entrepreneurs have drafted a fivepoint rule. First, certifications of the serviceproviders are checked.
Second, they should have ten years of experience in the city. Third, it should be at least a 20-member firm.
Fourth, they should have a good track record. Lastly, their personnel should be conversant in English, Telugu and Hindi.
A customer had complained that the service provider had charged higher than the usual price.
Now what? The team warned the firm: “Four more such complaints, you will be de-listed from our app.”
