A grand start to second innings
Pooja, who turned in a terrific performance in ace filmmaker Bala’s 'Naan Kadavul', was expected to take on more challenging roles, like the one that she carried off in 'Naan Kadavul'. But much to everybody’s surprise, the actress went on a sabbatical after it. Now Pooja has made a great comeback with director Balaji K. Kumar’s 'Vidiyum Munn', which was released a couple of days ago. The film didn’t receive a grand opening, but due to its being spoken about on the social media, it has now begun to garner attention, and Pooja’s performance, in particular, as a hooker has been lauded. “I still haven’t read any reviews of the film, but many of my folks made appreciative calls,” says an ecstatic Pooja. “When a product that you believe in turns out well and is also liked, there is no greater joy than that,” she adds.
'Vidiyum Munn' is about a series of incidents that occur in 24 hours. It was shot over a period of a year. “So it was challenging for us to maintain the make up and clothes. Now if we see the end result, our efforts seem to have paid off,” says Pooja, in parting.
