- His children are Hayavahini Daggubati, Aashritha Daggubati, Bhavana Daggubati and Arjun Ramnath Daggubati.
- In 1985, Venky married Neeraja Daggubati, with whom he has four children.
- This year, Venky garnered critical acclaim for his performance in 'Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu', a multi starrer of contemporary Telugu cinema alongside Mahesh Babu.
- In 2009, Venkatesh teamed up with Kamal Haasan for 'Eeenadu', which was released in September 2009.
- Some of his most famous movies have been Ram Gopal Varma's road movie 'Kshana Kshanam' with Sridevi, 'Chanti', 'Chinarayudu', 'Dharma Chakram', 'Preminchukundam Raa', 'Suryavamsam', 'Ganesh', 'Kalisundam Raa' and 'Aadavari Matalaku Ardhalu Verule'.
- In 1988, Venky appeared in 'Prema', which fetched him both Filmfare Award and Nandi Award for acting.
- 'Swarnakamalam' fetched him his second Nandi award for his performance.
- 'Bobbili Raja', with Divya Bharti, was a box office hit and won him the Filmfare Award for best acting.
- At an early phase in his career, Venkatesh acted in 'Swarnakamalam', directed by K Viswanath, which was showcased at the 1989 International Film Festival of India.
- Venky debuted in 'Kaliyuga Pandavulu' in 1986. The movie got him the Nandi award for best male debut actor.
- He started his acting career at a very young age. In fact, he acted in the film 'Prem Nagar' as a child artist.
- He came back to India after completing his MBA from Monterey Institute of International Studies, USA. Though he wanted to pursue his career in film production but ended up being an actor in Tollywood.
- Venkatesh did his schooling in Don Bosco, Egmore and Bachelors in Commerce from Loyola College, Chennai.
- He is the second child of his parents. Suresh Babu Daggubatti of Suresh Productions is his elder brother and Lakshmi, is his younger sister.
- Venkatesh was born in the famous Naidu family to Dr. Ramanaidu Daggubati and Rajeshwari.
