Rumours are abuzz that Taapsee who was last seen romancing Arya in 'Arrambam' is once again being considered for the actor’s next.
In 'Arrambam', Taapsee played a media reporter and she garnered warm responses for her performance. Now, one hears that the leggy lass is the frontrunner for the lead lady for Tamil film 'Meagaamaan' (Captain of the ship) which is an action thriller directed by Magizh.
Although close sources say that many names including Shruti Haasan were considered for the female lead which is also performance oriented, looks like the makers have finally zeroed down on Taapsee.
Talking about the movie which is set in Goa, director Maghizh said, “The film is an action commercial entertainer that is not loud or in-your-face. It will not compromise on logic and realism.
Arya will be seen in an entirely new role.”
When contacted by DC Taapsee said, “True! But not sure if I am doing it. Can’t say anything more about it.”
