Mumbai: A body, strongly suspected to be of missing TCS employee Esther Anusaya according to her family members, was found near the saltpans on the Eastern Express Highway on Thursday evening.
Police officials are however “unsure”, but have already registered a murder case and have initiated investigations.
According to an officer from Kanjur Marg police station, the body was found by a group of relatives who had been scourging the creek areas around Bhandup and Kanjur Marg for the past five days after her last mobile location placed her near Bhandup (West) during the initial days of the investigation.
“It was found in the marsh lands... by her relatives who had been searching the area for the past four to five days. She was identified through a gold ring on her finger... The body is however highly decomposed and most of the flesh is missing to reveal the bones,” the officer said.
Her uncle, Arun Kumar said that his nephew and some of his friends had been searching the area for the past five days in a car.
