Mollywood stars Fahadh Fazil, Nazriya Nazim get engaged; marriage in August
Bangalore: Breaking hearts of their fans, Mollywood sensations Fahadh Fazil and Nazriya Nazim have announced their decision to enter the wedlock.
Fahad, son of director-producer Fazil, and Nazriya agreed for the marriage after both the families discussed the alliance. The duo, currently shooting for Anjali Menon's ‘L for Love’ in Bangalore, also spoke to the media confirming the news.
Earlier in the day, Fazil told reporters in Alapuzha that the marriage would take place in August this year but that the date was yet to be fixed. He said both families knew each other well and were happy with the alliance.
The official Facebook pages of both actors announced Monday morning that they got engaged. Fahadh posted a picture of Nazriya and wrote: “Got engaged with Nazriya Nazim”.
Nazriya uploaded a picture of Fahadh saying “Friends.. I have got engaged with Fahadh Faasil. Thanks for all your wishes.”
Later, Fahadh posted on Facebook: "Hello all, just woke up as I was shooting late. YES I am getting engaged to Nazriya. Marrying me is the biggest risk, gamble and sacrifice a girl will have to do with her life. And finally I met this girl who wanted to take the chance and give me a home."
My family loved her, hence I got chatting with her and I fell in love with her. I am taking the big step here fellows, and much to my surprise I have agreed to a traditional wedding. I swear this girl has changed me. She is magic. I am overwhelmed by the love, support, thoughts and wishes you guys have shared this morning. I promise to love nazriya and take care of her till death and beyond."
Fahadh, who made his debut in 2002 with the unsuccessful Kaiyethum Doorath, which was directed by his father, surprised all in his return in 2009 and since then delivered hit after hit.
The talented youngster won many awards too in his second innings and acted in critically acclaimed films such as Akam, Chaappa Kurishu, 22 Female Kottayam, Diamond Necklace, Annayum Rasoolum and Amen.
Latest reports say that he will be seen in renowned director Maniratnam’s next film along with Telugu star Mahesh Babu. Fahadh was earlier linked to actor Andrea Jeremiah.
Nazriya, on the other hand, debuted as a child artist in 2006 with the Mammootty film Palunku, directed by Blessy. She went onto become and a popular TV anchor and movie offers came searching for her soon after.
She is known for lead roles in Neram (Tamil and Malayalam), Raja Rani (Tamil) and Naiyaandi (Tamil). She has number of upcoming movies lined up with young heroes both in Malayalam and Tamil.
