TRS party president says no to deal with national party. But alliance not ruled out
Telugu Desam Party MLA Satyavathi Rathod joins TRS party in presence of the party President K Chandrasekhar Rao at Telangana Bhavan in Hyderabad on Monday.
TRS supremo K. Chandrasekhar Rao has rejected a merger with the Congress party.
The decision was taken by the leader after meetings with several "party stakeholders". However, a possible alliance with the Congress has not been ruled out.
Confirming the development, KCR's son K.T. Rama Rao in a text message to the Deccan Chronicle said: "No to merger".
An official announcement by KCR is awaited.
