After Nargis Fakhri walked out of Akshay Kumar-starrer Shaukeen, the two actresses who have been considered for the role in the remake of the 80s classic are Shraddha Kapoor and Shruti Haasan. The former has already lost out on the opportunity to work opposite Akshay in Gabbar. “Both actresses have the bulk dates required for Shaukeen. We are yet to take a final call on it,” says a source close to the film.
Shruti and her managers have been working hard to get her plum roles in big banner films. “Shruti is already doing a film with John Abraham. She has read the script of Shaukeen and has given her consent. Our fingers are crossed,” says a source close to Shruti. While Shraddha’s schedule looks packed with the schedule of Haider and her film with Siddharth Malhotra, she too has ensured she has bulk dates for this film.
