Shweta Kawatra returns to TV
Shweta Kawatra is back on TV after a long hiatus. She will be seen on the children’s show Baal Veer, in which she plays the role of “Bhayankar Pari”.
Incidentally, Shama Sikander had essayed the role of the same name on the show. However, Shweta says that she has not been brought in as a replacement for Shama per se, it’s just that the characters are on similar lines.
“I have grown up on fairy tales and always found them endearing,” Shweta told us.
“This is a dramatic character, a challenging role with interesting shades and I am looking forward to it. The look for the role too is very different and the designers and I had lots of consultations while planning my costumes and make-up.”
Shweta was once part of some very popular TV shows, but took a break to take care of her baby daughter.
“I got six TV show offers over the past few months, but shooting and travelling takes up so much time, so I refused.
My husband, (the actor Manav Gohil) however, has been telling me to get back to acting. I was happy taking care of my daughter Zahra Tabitha, who is almost two years old now. But when this offer came along, I decided to take it up,” she said.
“I only wait at home in the morning till my daughter wakes up. I head for the shoot at 8.30 pm. My daughter goes to the play centre after breakfast and then comes home in the afternoon and my motherin- law takes care of her then,” Shweta said.
