After a series of back and forths, it now seems likely that Farhan Akhtar will be a part of SRK's 'Raees'

Mumbai: First there was news that the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Raees would feature Farhan Akhtar as the second lead. Then reports emerged that schedulling issues had forced Farhan to back out of the project. The role is a pivotal one, and the makers of the film, as well as Shah Rukh, were adamant on getting a powerful actor to essay the part.
They seemingly found their actor in Nawazuddin Siddiqui. However, it now appears that things haven’t worked out with Nawaz either. The buzz in B-town is that after Farhan, Nawaz too has walked out of the project. Apparently, he wasn’t too happy with his role, or the idea of playing second fiddle. “Look, Nawaz has already proved himself as an actor.
He is very clear that he doesn’t want to play the second lead,” a source close to the actor told us. The Raees team is now in the process of renegotiating the dates with Farhan. “SRK’s recent injury and prior commitments had postponed the shooting of Raees.
Farhan couldn’t allot the fresh dates to match SRK’s and had to opt out. But yes, talks are on again and we’re hoping that the new schedule works out for Farhan,” a member of the production team said.
We hope so too. After all, watching Farhan and SRK together on screen should be a treat!
