For some time now there have been reports floating about Madhur Bhandarkar considering Deepika Padukone for his next film. The director has been tight lipped about his next leading lady but there were some whispers about him approaching Kareena also for the role. “Kareena and Madhur have worked in Heroine.
The film might not have succeeded but they continue to be good friends. As a filmmaker, Madhur will cast an actor only if they suit the character. He’ll take a final call soon on who he wants to sign. He has been in talks with a few actors but no one has been finalised yet,” says a source close to Madhur.
His next film will definitely be a challenge for Madhur. After the debacle of Heroine, that featured a superstar like Kareena, Madhur will want to correct his mistakes in his new film. The way things stand today, both Deepika and Kareena have liked the script. But only time will tell who’ll get to be Madhur’s heroine this time round.
