Belgium’s good ‘Kompany’

Vincent Kompany has opened two sports bars back in his home country Belgium. The bars, named ‘Good Kompany’, are located in Brussels and Antwerp, two hotbeds of tourism in the heart of Belgium’s biggest cities. The Manchester City captain bought the two houses last year, and had always had a ‘dream of a sports bar for a long time,’ according to Jan Oppens, his consultant on the project.

‘He didn’t want the interior of an Irish pub or an American sports bar. He wanted the lounge feeling, a place were everybody could relax. “There are television screens everywhere. if there is a top game, we will show it. “ In the pubs hang some of Kompany’s match worn shirts and ones he’s exchanged with opponents in the past, including Roberto Carlos, Craig Bellamy, Carlos Tevez and Raphael Varane.
