‘One must have fun on stage’
Deepika wants to prepare herself to deliver her best
Mumbai: After her not-so-happening stage performance at the opening ceremony of the Indian Premiere League in Dubai, Deepika Padukone has decided not to repeat her mistakes. With the IIfa awards soon approaching, Deepika wants to prepare herself to deliver her best. We hear that she has personally met with the choreographers and is leaving no stone unturned to deliver a perfect performance. The actress says that she has been inspired by her mentor and co-star Shah Rukh Khan and his energy on stage. “I admire him a lot. When he is on stage, there is so much energy around. I started rehearsing for IIfa three days ago. I’ve chosen my songs from Ram Leela and Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani,” says Deepika.
The actress reveals that no amount of rehearsals can help you create the perfect act. “For how long can you perform under pressure? On stage you have to have fun. And when you don’t enjoy what you do, it reflects on your performance.”
Probably that’s what happened at the opening ceremony of IPL, since she was feeling under the weather. We hope Deepika’s stint in Tampa Bay is good enough to erase those Dubai memories.
