Mumbai: Vikas Bahl’s ‘Queen’ is being talked about by millions because of its originality in story, but little do they know that the superhit film bears striking resemblance to the 2008 American Indie film ‘The Art Of Travel’, Mumbai Mirror reported.
The only difference is that in this film directed by Thomas Whelan, it is the groom-to-be that sets out alone on his honeymoon, after he is left at the alter by his unfaithful fiancée. The lead journeys through forests and meets and eclectic bunch through his journey of self-discovery.
A spokesperson said, “’Sex In The City’, ‘Under The Tuscan Sun’, ‘Eat Pray Love’ also have the same story, so does that mean that they are all inspired by each other? And ‘Queen’ is also inspired by them?”
This is the second time Bahl is facing a plagiarism charge, a couple of weeks ago Abhigyan Jha accused Bahl of lifting scenes from his unreleased film, ‘Phir Zindagi’ which was shown to Bahl during his tenure as the UTV Spotboy head.
