Check the warranty of your product
A lot of companies provide warranties for the products they sell: A limited-period insurance by the manufacturers that what they are delivering works well, and that they are ready to service or replace it for no additional cost should something misfortunate happen to it that wasn’t the consumer’s fault.
Most of us know this, and know it well. In gadgets and electronics, of course, many of us also consider warranties on a product to be an important buying factor. This is mostly because these products are expensive, and most of us can’t afford to buy another in case we fall victim to simply bad luck with a piece.
This is also why most people are ready to buy more expensive things like videogame consoles from India rather than import them for cheap from outside. Clearly, warranties are important, and with bills and loads of websites armed, we seem to be ready to face the daunting challenge of making sure how “warrantied” it is.
What we lack, sometimes, though, is knowing whether a product we have in question is under warranty at that moment. Fortunately, most manufacturers and sellers, make it fairly simple to know about the warranty status of your product. Many manufacturers do this, and if they don’t, they really should. This really makes this mundane task simple to handle, and Apple even lets you subscribe to their (rather pricey) OneCare programme which extends the warranties on your products.
