Abhimanyu in Mahabharat will be loved: Paras Arora
The young actor talks about his role as warrior Abhimanyu in Mahabharat
Mumbai: Young actor Paras Arora, who tasted success with his show Veer Shivaji, has been selected to play the young warrior Abhimanyu, son of Subhadra and Arjun, in Swastik Productions’ Mahabharat.
Talking about his role, Paras says, “Originally, I was offered the role of young Arjun. But towards the end, I was selected to play Abhimanyu. The role of Abhimanyu is broader and people know about the character. My last role was my debut on the big screen, Rajjo that released a while ago. So when this role was offered to me, I couldn’t say no.” But this is not the first time Paras is playing a character from an epic. Years ago, he had played the role of young Ram in Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayana.
Recalling his experience of working with Kangna Ranaut in Rajjo, Paras says, “It was a meaty role and a great experience sharing the screen with a great actress like her. The film released at a bad time. Ram-Leela took over the box office completely. I don’t have any regrets about doing Rajjo. It has been five years since I made my journey from Bareilly to Mumbai. People talk about me in my hometown.”
Paras is now hoping that his stint in Mahabharat as Abhimanyu will be loved by the audience.
