Meet the chow 'panda dogs' of China
London: In China, a pet shop is selling the new breed of dogs that look like pandas.
The cute and fluffy looking pets have become the newest 'essential' in China and their sale is a smash hit. In reality, they are chow dogs but with careful grooming and colouring in about two hours they appear like pandas, Metro.co.uk reported.
Hsin Ch'en, who owns an animal store in Chengdu city, said that it was hard to meet the demands of the customers because of quick selling of the pet.
The look on the dogs remain for about six weeks and then the owners bring them back for some touching up, but no dog was treated with chemical elements or was harmed in any other way, he added.
There was a time when Chinese person's natural instincts were to eat a dog but now like western people they prefer one as a companion.
