LG to launch Lifeband Touch and Heart Rate earphones on May 18
The two devices are compatible with iOS and Android smartphones
Mumbai: LG Electronics will soon be launching two new fitness devices Lifeband Touch and Heart Rate earphones.
LG Lifeband Touch features two sensors, which includes a triple-axis accelerometer and an altimeter. Both these sensors work together to provide accurate data in real time. It features a full-touch OLED display that provides access to a full range of fitness data. This will help individuals to track their progress and adjust their workout plans accordingly. LG Lifeband Touch enables users to check incoming calls, messages and control their music playlists on their smartphones, keeping wearers connected while delivering an uninterrupted workout experience.
Official reports also stated, ‘This user-friendly device includes motion-sensing algorithm, which automatically turns on the display when wearers rotate their wrists’. The Life Touch is fuelled with 90mAh battery and is available in three different sizes. It is compatible with Android and iOS operating systems. ‘Besides LG Fitness app, this device can also work with popular fitness apps such as MyFitnessPal, Runkeeper and MapMyFitness’ as per the official reports.
LG’s Heart Rate earphones, featuring a 0.9-inch OLED display can provide accurate heart rate data by measuring blood flow signals in the ear via PerformTek sensor technology. Fuelled with 200 mAh battery, this earphone be used with or without the LG Lifeband Touch.
A separate clip-on medallion contains Bluetooth connectivity which sends data to the Lifeband Touch or a compatible smartphone. While using the LG Fitness App, users can also receive audible status updates informing them of their heart rate and VO2 max (maximal oxygen consumption) levels.
