Governor’s aide survives mishap

Hyderabad: Basant Kumar, the Governor’s joint secretary in the Raj Bhavan, was involved in a road mishap on the national highway at Narketpally, of Nalgonda ,district on Wednesday morning. He escaped with minor injuries. Mr Kumar was returning to Hyderabad from Vijayawada.

The accident occurred when the tyre of the car in which he was travelling exploded. The driver lost control of the car and hit a road divider. At the time of the accident, Mr Kumar’s wife and other family members were also in the car. They are all safe. The driver sustained a head injury and is being treated. Mr Kumar also got minor injuries.
