N Chandrababu Naidu criticises Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy’s loan letter
Hyderabad: AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday objected to YSRC chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s letter to him seeking waiver of farm loans.
“I have taken oath as CM only last night, and the very next morning Jagan wrote a letter to me to implement the waiver of farm loans. He thinks whatever he says the people will accept it.”
Justifying the lavish scale of his swearing-in ceremony, he said it was done to give confidence to the people of the state. "Andhra Pradesh state is in a peculiar situation. People are worried. To give them reassurance, we invited national leaders and CMs. They all assured me that they will stand by the people of AP.”
Reacting to a question on Cabinet formation, Mr Naidu said it is not possible to have 26 ministers as the rules allow, as caste and regional equations have to be maintained.
He alleged that it was the negligence of the Himachal officials in releasing water that led to the death of 24 students.
