Bag full of talent
Hyderabad: Osmania Medical College’s Tejaswini Manogna stole the show at an awards function, held recently, to felicitate students from Hyderabad, Vizag and Vijayawada for their extra-curricular activities.
She opened the show with a dance recital and walked away with two awards, the first position in the ‘Sports & Adventure’ category for her shooting skills and the second runners-up in the ‘Performing Arts’ for her Bharatanatyam performances.
Tejaswini has given more than 1,500 performances till date. She also has national-level accreditation as a graded professional dancer by Doordarshan.
Besides the creative streak, (she is also a trained Carnatic singer and a yoga champ), Tejaswini loves the sport of shooting. In 2010, the NCC cadet won the ‘India Best Cadet (Army, Air and Navy)’ award and was named the best shooter. That year, she also led the Indian contingent in the Republic Day parade.
She is also one the toppers at her college. The third-year MBBS student explains, “I wake up at 5 am, do yoga, go through medical case studies, go to hospital and then attend college. It’s all about managing time.”
