Charmi to make a comeback?
The Punjabi Kudi was seen in glamorous role in movie Oru Vidhi Seivom
Charmi Kaur, the beautiful Punjabi kudi who started her K’town innings with a Silambarasan movie, Kadhal Azhivadhilli, was noticed for her fresh looks although the movie received lukewarm response. When her subsequent films, including Kadhal Kisu Kisu, sank without a trace, the pretty girl shifted base and Tollywood beckoned her. She proved her mettle in many T’town flicks and even bagged the Nandhi Award for the film, Mantra. Much later, when Prabhu Solomon brought her back to Tamil with a movie, Laadam, much was expected of her. But it failed miserably at the box office.
Now, we hear one of her Telugu films, Sevakudu, is being dubbed in Tamil as Ini Oru Vidhi Seivom and releasing on June 27. The movie was directed by Samudra and didn’t give her much scope to act; it was her glamorous appearance in the song sequences that drew attention. Srikanth Deva composed the tracks.
