Hyderabad: An Intermediate student of Narayana College hanged himself in his hostel at Amberpet on Friday sparking protests. M. Praneeth Kumar Reddy, 17, a second year student, was depressed after he was allegedly harassed by the college authorities for not paying his fee. Praneeth, who was talking to his friends till midnight in the hostel located at Ganga-bowli in Vaibhavnagar, left for his room saying that he was going to sleep. Surya then informed the warden, who broke the door and found him hanging. Police said that Praneeth did not leave any suicide note.

Praneeth, who is a native of Warangal, had told his parents about the harassment at college.
