Novak Djokovic won his second Wimbledon title and seventh career major with a 6-7 (7/9), 6-4, 7-6 (7/4), 5-7, 6-4 victory over Roger Federer Sunday, shattering the Swiss star's dream of a record eighth triumph in an epic struggle.

When Djokovic decided to bring on board Boris Becker, it raised a lot of expectations. As Djokovic won his first Grand Slam under the German, the choice to involve Becker seems justified.
As he won the epic final, Djokovic wasted no time running towards his team and all of them got involved in a collective hug following a special victory.
Djokovic loves Wimbledon and its grass as well. As soon as he won the final, Djokovic repeated his grasshopping style of celebrating the Wimbledon win.
As the scoreline in the background suggests, it was not a cakewalk for Novak Djokovi but he showed the hunger to outdo Roger Federer.
Federer saved quite a few set points in the first and fourth set to keep Djokovic in check. Unfortunately for the Swiss champ, his Serbian opponent had a last laugh.
The final of Wimbledon 2014 was worth watching with seven-time Wimbledon Champions and crowd's favourite Roger Federer played like a champion but it was Djokovic who hung in to seal the title.
But there were some tears for the second-time Wimbledon as well. More importantly, those were the tears of joy.
As a part of tradition the Duke of Kent handed over the glittering Wimbledon trophy to Novak Djokovic. Quite obviously, he gleefully accepted the special trophy.
Victory allowed the top seeded Novak Djokovic, who was also the 2011 champion and runner-up last year, to end a run of three successive defeats in Grand Slam finals.
While Djokovic stumbled in between, that did not stop the Serbian to win seventh Grand Slam of his career.
