Volkswagen rolls out ‘New Polo’
Mumbai: Volkswagen has rolled out its new car model the New Polo. It features front and rear bumpers, grille with single chrome strip, revised taillights with new detailing, available in exterior colour options.
The new Polo will be available in two variants that include GT TSI and GT TDI, which will arrive in different showrooms later this year. As per official reports, the GT TDI will sport a 1.5L TDI power-unit and its GT TSI will feature the 1.2L TSI turbo petrol engine with its predecessor, mated to a new 7-speed DSG (Dual-clutch automatic).
The New Polo’s cabin is integerated with a 3-spoke steering wheel, steering-mounted audio controls and an audio system with Bluetooth telephony and AC vents as well. The company claims that it has used the heat insulating glass for side and read windows. Upholstered seats introduces the element of comfort in the New Polo.
Under the hood, the New Polo features 4-cylinder 1.5 liter TDI unit, with a maximum power output of 89bhp. It also has a peak torque of 230Nm. Its diesel engine is mated to five speed manual gearbox.
The petrol model of Volkswagen carries 1.2 liter MPI engine that develops a power of 74bhp and max torque of 110Nm. This engine is coupled to a 5-speed manual transmission.
The performance variant GT TSI which develops a power of 103.6bhp and 175Nm of max torque is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch DSG with tiptronic, as per official reports.
