Good rainfall for Telangana predicted
Hyderabad: A day after Bonalu, Swarnalatha, the oracle at the Ujjaini Mahankali Temple, answered questions posed by temple staff members. Giving her predictions, she said that the state will receive adequate rainfall and there is no need to panic.
The oracle, while being possessed by the Goddess, said that She was happy with the arrangements made and that there is no need to take up any construction or extension work of the temple premises without seeking her permission. She added that the country will witness prosperity and good days ahead.
When a person asked about the students who lost their lives in the Beas River tragedy, Swarnalatha said whatever happened had happened by the will of the supreme power and it was inevitable.
The predictions were made between 9.40 am and 10 am and were followed by a procession. The deity was taken around the temple on an elephant as per tradition. More than three lakh people visited the temple on the last day of the state festival.
The ceremony of predicting the future in Bonalu has been taking place for many years as a part of Lashkar Bonalu — now the state festival of Telangana.
