Hyderabad: In a first, BITS-Pilani, Hyderabad campus, is planning to introduce online courses offered by reputed institutions like MIT, Stanford and Wharton in under-graduate and post-graduate engineering courses.
The subjects will be offered in a hybrid manner, where some part of the curriculum will be taught by in-house professors, while students will have to take the remaining through the MIT and Harvard-founded edX Massive Open Online Course platform. This system is currently adopted only by IIT-Bombay.
Director of BITS-Pilani, Hyderabad, Dr V.S. Rao, also announced on Friday that the campus was now complete.
