'Eager' Button admits there is 'no better place' than Belgium for F1 to resume
London: McLaren driver Jenson Button has said that he is raring to get back on the track after the long summer break and admits that there is no place better than Belgium for the championship to resume.
Jenson is bidding to get McLaren back on track at one of his favourite tracks in Belgium on Sunday. He won the snaking forest leviathan from pole two years ago to add another of the great races to his trophy collection.
But McLaren, who has won at Spa 14 times, has had a disappointing season since putting two cars on the podium at the opening race in Australia in March. However they have vowed to step up their game as they near next year's exciting partnership with Honda, The Mirror reported.
Button, who is fighting for this Formula One title, said that he goes into the second half of the season feeling incredibly refreshed and positive, adding that there is no better place to resume the season than at Spa-Francorchamps.
Button said that it is one of the best circuits in the world, and it's a place where driving a Formula One car always feels incredible. He said that he is really looking forward to driving out of the pits for the first time on Friday morning and just throwing the car into some of the greatest corners in motorsport.
