Centre nod to Andhra Pradesh plan of 15 industrial clusters

State will give many relaxations

Hyderabad: Finance minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu said that the Centre has in principle agreed to 15 small- scale industry clusters in the state. He said through these clusters, small scale industries will be benefited. He said in these clusters, government will give many incentives in terms of tax and other issues. Mr Ramakrishnudu attended the state industries ministers conference held at Delhi conducted by the Central Government on Friday.

Mr Ramakrishnudu said that the state government had sent a letter to the Centre to increase the members from 50 to 58 in AP Legislative council. He said for this, the Centre should bring amendment to the Act, which may take some time. He said that the state government sent the proposals to the Centre for the development of 13 districts under special development package. On getting the RS ticket, Mr Yanamala said if the party gives him a Rajya Sabha ticket, he is ready to go. He said it has been his long standing wish.
